Melanie Wall, PhD

Director of Mental Health Data Science in the Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University, Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene

Dr. Wall is the director of Mental Health Data Science in the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) and Columbia University where she oversee a team of biostatisticians collaborating on predominately NIH funded research projects.  She has worked extensively with modeling complex multilevel data on a wide array of psychosocial public health and psychiatric research questions in both clinical studies, large epidemiologic studies and implementation projects.  The opioid overdose crisis has led to many lines of investigation including epidemiologic descriptions of the extent of the problem and projects focused on identifying where best to place prevention and treatment efforts.  Dr. Wall has led the statistical analyses for several opioid-related projects.
