Carmen Alcantara is the Program Manager for the Treatment Alternatives Department at Bronx Community Solutions, part of the Center for Court Innovation where she provides administrative and procedural oversight to both the OAR (Overdose Avoidance and Recovery) Court and Treatment Alternatives Department. She works alongside legal stakeholders including judges, defense bar and, the Bronx District Attorney’s office in screening and crafting treatment services for client’s in Bronx Criminal and Supreme Court. Carmen works closely with community based substance use and mental health providers to ensure clients are receiving proper treatment and care. Additionally, she works with the Technical Assistance Department at the Center for Court Innovation supporting the delivery of technical assistance options for statewide drug court evaluation, planning and program implementation. Carmen holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work.
